Our services include a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic assisted conception techniques. It is one of the largest providers of assisted conception and modern antenatal care in Sudan.
Dr Yagoub leads a team of experienced clinicians, embryologists and fertility nurses as well as a group of dedicated administrative , public relation and other staff who are committed to providing highest quality care and work together for the achievement of outstanding results.

Dr Yagoub M A Magid qualified as a doctor at the Faculty of Medicine university of Khartoum, Sudan (1979) where he completed his pre registration training. He then went to Saudi Arabia; he started his Obstetrics & Gynaecology career there at King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh. He then went to the UK and continued his general training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in West Yorkshire. He obtained membership of the royal college of the obstetricians & gynaecologists (MRCOG) in London in 1991. He then joined The Assisted Conception Unit (ACU) at King’s College Hospital (KCH) in London; here he started his specialist training in ART; he then became a fertility specialist at London Fertility & Gynaecology where he worked with Professor Ian Craft and then back to King’s ACU in 1995 as a senior fertility specialist. In 2000 he returned to Sudan where he co-founded Khartoum Fertility Centre then the nation’s first and largest IVF Centre; he has since worked there as a senior consultant in Assisted Conception and Medical Director till September 2010 when he founded The Nile Fertility Centre. Dr Yagoub is a member of several fertility societies eg. MEFS, ESHRE and ASRM. He is a co-founder of the Sudan Human Reproduction & Embryology Society (SHRES); he currently serves as its first President. He is also a member of the middle east fertility society (MEFS) Board.
Dr Maha Mohd Omer, Msc Med Sci, ART

DrMaha attended The Gazira university medical school, Sudan and qualified as a doctor in 1989. After a short period of training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology both in Sudan and Saudi Arabia she took up clinical embryology as a career. She obtained a Master degree in Medical Science, ART at the University of Nottingham, UK in 2000. Later in the year she joined Khartoum Fertility Centre where she worked first as an embryologist and then senior embryologist till September 2010 when she moved to Nile Fertility Centre. Here she works as a senior embryologist and directs a modern laboratory of four embryologists besides to being involved in all areas of embryology and related issues.
Dr Sawsan Abdalgayoum, MD Obs & Gyn, MRCOG

Sawsan went to Gazira Medical School Wad Medani and graduated as a doctor in 1992. She then trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and obtained her MD in 1998 at Khartoum University. She got the MRCOG in 2005 while she was working in Saudi Arabia. Then she joined Khartoum Fertility Centre and worked there from 2006 till she moved to Nile fertility Centre in September 2010. Here in addition to being a consultant in Assisted Reproduction, other duties include general obstetrics and gynecology and Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Samaan Edward Samaan, MBBS, MD Obst & Gyn

Samaan qualified as a doctor at the faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan 1995, where he completed his training in Khartoum hospitals. He obtained his medical doctorate in obstetrics and gynaecology (MD) at Khartoum University 2000. He has started his career in infertility at Khartoum Fertility Centre; here he was involved in all aspects of assisted reproduction techniques (ART) in addition to being in charge of the antenatal clinic. He received specialst training in fetal medicine at Harris Birth Right Centre at King’s College Hospital, London , 2006. In Sep 2010 he joined Nile Fertility Centre where he continues to do the same work. Dr Samaan is a member of several fertility societies e.g.. ESHRE, MEFS and SHRES.
