Present History : High risk pregnancy care
- Being younger than 18 or older then 35
- Being underweight or overweight
- Short statured mother (< 140 cm)

Family History
- Low socio economic status – Prone to have anemia, preterm labor or growth retarded babies
- Family history of diabetes, hypertension, multiple pregnancy and congenital malformation
- Having a family history of genetic disease

- Attend every antenatal checkups and follow your doctor’s advice. High risk pregnancy require more frequent antenatal visits and close monitoring .
- Tell your doctor about your current health issues, medicine you are taking and previous medical conditions and surgeries at the initial visits
- Have a healthy life style – follow your doctor’s and midwives advice on healthy diet, exercise and prenatal supplements.
- Stay active, don’t smoke and don’t take alcohol if you are taking
- Look after your emotional well being – take time out for yourself and reduce your stress levels where you can
- Stay connected with your partner, friends and relations it gives moral support
