Dr Rina Agrawal has had 34 years’ experience in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and fertility specialist in UK and over 26 years’ experience in Fertility and Assisted Conception.
She is known for her Holistic individualised, integrated and multidisciplinary approach to patient care which focuses not only on her patients’ medical issues but their overall wellbeing and lifestyle factors which is known to impact fertility significantly.
Besides scientific treatment methods she applies a focused approach to the wellbeing of her patients by advising patients on lifestyle changes. She works alongside experts in complementary care, nutrition and stress reduction strategists. These are all collectively known to improve patients’ wellbeing and if trying for a pregnancy then their chances of a successful pregnancy.

Dr Rina Agrawal received her formal training in Gynaecology and Obstetrics both in UK and in India; in Reproductive Medicine & Assisted Conception at the prestigious University College Hospital, London where she did her PhD in Reproductive Medicine.
She was the Director at London Women’s Clinic & Hallam Medical Centre for several years; the first centre in UK to offer Assisted Reproduction. She has worked with Prof Howard Jacobs who contributed enormously to the field of IVF treatment & Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Prof Robert Edwards who pioneered IVF treatment and created the world’s first IVF baby, Louise Brown, who was born in July 1978.
Dr Rina Agrawal works both in the NHS and the Private sector and has her independent practice at Harley Street in London, at The Portland Hospital, The London Claremont Clinic, Centre of Assisted Reproduction (CARE London) and The BMI Meriden in Coventry & Warwickshire.
Dr Rina Agrawal has individually managed over 10,000 cycles of IVF/ICSI–fertility specialist in UK, several complex cases and more than 10,000 insemination treatment cycles over the last 26 years.
The Hind Rattan “Jewel of India” award was one of the several awards which Rina received within the year of 2010 as later in June 2010 she was nominated to receive her NHS Trust OSCA (Outstanding Service and Care) Awards.
In September 2010 she received the prestigious “Achievers Gold Medal” from the House of Lords in London for significant contributions in the field of Reproductive Medicine.
In May 2015 she was awarded the “Global Indian Achiever Award” at the White House Summit which was an Initiative of President Obama; in an Award ceremony in Capitol Hill with a reception in Indian embassy Washington DC. In its first year, this prestigious award was presented to 10 American Indians and 10 Global Indians from the worldwide Indian Diaspora.
In November 2009 she was nominated for the NHS London Innovations Award for innovation of a simple diagnostic test to diagnose ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome which is a well-known complication of IVF treatment.
In November 2012 she was Nominated for “Asia’s Who’s Who” Category of Best Asian achievement of the year Award which was held at The Dorchester Hotel Award ceremony in London UK.
Rina has published extensively over the years in several international journals. She has over 120 publications; co edited several books and has been an invited speaker in over 200 national & international meetings.
Her areas of expertise within the field of Reproductive Medicine & Assisted Conception Technology are Lifestyle factors affecting fertility, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome; Ovarian Hyperstimulation syndrome, Ovarian Stimulation Protocols, Ultrasonography including Doppler & 3D Ultrasonography and Recurrent miscarriages.

Hind Rattan Awards 25th January 2010. Awarded the Presidential ‘Hind Rattan’ Award; known as the ‘Jewel of India’ award on the Eve of Republic day in January 2010 in New Delhi, India. The award recognised the outstanding economic & philanthropic achievements in her field and the significant contributions and service which were made to India. Besides being actively involved in education and research in the field of IVF and fertility treatment in India, she also proactively participates in charities which educate the orphaned and deprived children of India. In its 29th year, the ‘Hind Rattan’ is presented by Indian Government officials each year to 30 leading expatriates from worldwide Indian Diaspora. The award is considered very prestigious. Its Advisory Board include prominent personalities, members of the Indian Government and former Prime Ministers HD Deva Gowda & IK Gujral.
NHS London Innovations Awards nomination – Nov 2009. Nominated to receive the NHS London Innovations Awards on 26th November 2009. Innovation of a simple cost effective test with high sensitivity and specificity to diagnose ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), a potentially fatal, iatrogenic complication of IVF treatment. (Prediction of OHSS syndrome by measurement of circulating concentrations of VEGF and sFlt-1 in women undergoing IVF treatment. Principal Investigator: R Agrawal.
